Tiny prints of Sue's original painting of St Rita are encased in glass and hand soldered to produce this tiny icon which may be worn as a medal, and to remind one of the help which Saint Rita offers to those in difficult situations.

Saint Rita is a popular Italian saint who was married to a a volitile man who she eventually won over to the Christian faith by her example of love and patience. He was killed by an enemy, which provoked her sons to seek revenge. She begged God to not let them carry out the evil deed, and they both died before they could do it. She then became a cloistered nun. She is known as the saint of impossible causes, just like Saint Jude. She is also beloved of abused wives and alcoholics.

The same image is on both sides.

All of our pendants and ornaments are made with lead free solder and glass. Great on a chain or bracelet. We offer a ball chain elsewhere in our shop.

If you put the charm/medal on a key chain, it may get broken if not treated kindly. It is glass. If you want one for a key chain, we can custom make your medium charm/medal with a thicker glass for $3. Small charm/medals don't need thicker glass, but either way, they need to be on a chain before you add them to your key ring.
