St. Therese as Joan of Arc
Exclusive Restored Photo

We get used to seeing our Saint almost as an icon, a figure of historic proportions, but in this picture we can easily see her as she was, a living girl. She looks kind, dear, and vulnerable. This is a photo from her Joan of Arc play, and from the props, it seems like it is a jail scene after the British have caught Joan. Therese is Joan, meditating before her trial and execution. The hair is a wig. Therese is in the convent. She's has just turned 21, about the same age as Joan. Therese would die three and a half years later. She and Joan would be canonized about the same time a few years after that.

This is the girl who was teased in school for being too holy, for talking too much about Jesus. This is the girl whose life we would know nothing about if her sister and Mother Superior, Marie Pauline, hadn't asked her to write her autobiography. One of her fellow nuns commented at the time of her death, what is there to say about Therese's life? She didn't do anything. Yet we know from her writings what a glorious, quiet prayer life she had!

We hope that this restoration of her photo, like all our restorations, helps you feel closer to our Saint, even to the point of friendship, and that then in turn brings you closer to our risen Lord and greatest Friend, Jesus. St Therese, who almost never left her home town, is the Patron Saint of Missions. Feast Day October 1. Talk to her. She will take your prayers to Jesus for you.

!!!IMPORTANT !!! THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! We leave a white border of blank paper around the image! The border is about 0.5" for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11" and about 1.6" on 11x14". This is the normal way fine art printers make their art prints. It will give your prints a finished look in a frame without a matt.

-Acid-free paper.
-Archival pigments rated to last for generations
-Cardboard backer.
-Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag
-Comes with the above story of the image.
