This vintage holy card from 1867 addresses Mary as “St. Mary of the Sacred Heart,” and the short prayer underneath says, “Through your hands, O, Holy Mother, we are flooded by Jesus' grace.”

This lovely French card is not only beautiful but also instructive. It illustrates Mary receiving grace from Jesus and pouring it upon us. Some say that Mary as Mediatrix brings all grace to the world, and others say she only brings some. But either way, whatever she has, it all comes from her Son, our Lord Jesus.

The Bouasse-Lebel Printing Company was started by Mrs. Eulalie (Lebel) Bouasse in 1845 in Paris, France, and specialized in Catholic Holy Cards. They were in business for 120 years.

8.5 x 11 acid-free paper, with about an inch-and-a-third of white space around the picture. Cardboard backer. Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
