"Wedding at Cana"
Revs Bonaventure Ostendarp & Raphael Pfister
Painted around the turn of the last century by Benedictine monks for a church in Pennsylvania, this Wedding at Cana is meant not just to be beautiful but to aid the faithful in their spiritual lives. It was large and glued on the wall of the nave, where weddings happen. It was a reminder of the holiness of marriage, and how much better our marriages are when we invite Jesus and Mary into them.
The Wedding at Cana is the second luminous mystery, and the fruit of the mystery is “To Jesus through Mary.”
We are the only source in the world for this picture. We spent a lot of time restoring it. This picture makes a great wedding or anniversary gift. It is good to have devotional art around the home. I find that surrounding myself with Catholic art helps my faith life.
This picture makes a great wedding or anniversary gift.
The print is good, and the colors are rich. The holy card it is based on is long out of copyright and is now in the public domain. We print it on special art paper with archival quality pigments which are beautiful now and will last for generations.
– 8.5 x 11" acid-free paper
– Archival pigments (rated to last for generations without fading if kept out of the sun)
– Cardboard backer
– Story of the card
– Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
** IMPORTANT ** There is about an inch-and-a-third of white space around the picture, so the image is smaller than the paper.
