We love the name of Jesus. Just his name by itself is a prayer connecting us to Heaven. You may not know, but the month of January in the Catholic Church is dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus. In honor of that, we offer you a Holy Name of Jesus holy card. It's an American card, which is rare for us, but this one is lovely. The artist made a cross of Jesus's name and then put four key scenes from his life in the four corners of the card. Additionally, he put scripture quotes about the scenes in the border, but only the most eagle-eyed will be able to discern the letters there.
On the back we have an exquisite prayer to the Holy Name by St. Alphonsus Liguori (1696-1787) that that stirs our hearts. Liguori is one of the great Doctors of the Church, of which there are only about 3 dozen total. That's 3 dozen out of billions of Catholics across 2000 years! Reading this prayer will let you get a glimpse into his holy and wise heart, and if you're like us, will let you draw closer to Jesus. It's a great devotion, and one we think you'll want to have on hand.
