Holy Card – Wedding of Joseph and Mary – pack of 10/100/1000 – Restored Vintage Holy Card – Wedding Invite Tuck-In #064

A perfect tuck-in for a wedding invitation or a place setting at a wedding dinner.

This holy card of The Wedding of Joseph and Mary is based on a very popular image from the early to mid-Twentieth Century. It is one of our favorite depictions of the wedding of Joseph and Mary and was used by a multitude of Catholic couples 100 years ago.

We have so many requests for this picture as a custom wedding card for devout couples that we decided to offer this one for everybody.

We have a prayer on the back by St. Pope John Paul II, as well as a quote from an early Church Father, Tertullian, in a letter he wrote his wife about 202 AD praising the glories of a Christian marriage. We find them both pretty inspiriting for a sacramental marriage.

Sue and John

Lord God, from you every family in heaven and on

earth takes its name. Father, you are Love and Life.

Through your Son, Jesus Christ, born of woman, and

through the Holy Spirit, fountain of divine charity,

grant that every family on earth may become for each

successive generation a true shrine of life and love.

– St. John Paul II

How can I ever express

The happiness of a marriage

Joined by the Church,

Strengthened by an offering,

Sealed by a blessing,

Announced by angels,

And ratified by the Father?

How wonderful the bond

Between two believers,

Now one in hope,

One in desire,

One in discipline,

One in the same service!

– Tertullian, Church Father

from a letter to his wife, c. 202 AD
