This painting is a labor of love. I have worked on it over the course of a year and a half, including extensive research into how each man in the composition is traditionally portrayed in art, and also what are the features of typical Semitic men's faces. Although I tend to combine modern style and traditional icon style, I also strive for authenticity in most of my paintings.
