New! Gardening Angels with Mary and Jesus - by Charles Letaille - Holy Card - Pack of 10/100/1000

The artist Charles Letaille is our new favorite. He did his work in the mid-1800s. This image portrays angels working in the background to grow flowers for Mary. It makes us happy. Sue is a big gardener. Such a sweet picture!

The original holy card read, "Le Sommeil de Marie. The Nativity scene was the Avent so long desired, so long awaited...O divine Goodness! The Heavens have finally opened! O Holy Angels, help me to surround her with lilies and roses..." The holy card was produced c. 1885. 

The prayer on the back says:

"Gardening Angels

O Holy Angels, help me work with you to surround her with lilies and roses! Lilies of purity, and roses of burning love, for her and her slumbering child! Help the fragrance of my prayers rise to her as my little spiritual bouquet."
