The Infant of Prague
Vintage Catholic Holy Card

This endearing version of the Infant of Prague is the most unique one we've ever seen. We've always had a soft spot for the Infant of Prague, especially when our kids were little and we had so many bills to pay. Usually the image of Him is the triangle-shaped doll-king. Always red, always holding an orb of the world in his left hand, always blessing the world with his right hand. But this lovely representation from the turn-of-the-last-century has a gentleness and sweetness to it that we are particularly fond of.

Many cultures have images of the Child Jesus as objects of devotion. Teresa of Avilla always made sure they had a statue of the Infant of Prague in her convent, especially in times of financial need. Often there is a maxim on the infant, "The more you honor Me, the more I will bless you." It is a good reminder of how we are to seek the Lord-not to be paid by Him-but for His own sake. And we are to trust Him, and trust in His Providence. Turn to the Lord with all your heart and the blessings will flow.

** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt.

- Acid-free paper
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
