"Madonna and Child"
by Enrique Monserdà Vidal

We love the colors in this one, the elegance and beauty of Mary, the tenderness of her love and the sweetness of her child. There is a gentle intimacy between them and at the same time there is majesty in their bearing. And did we mention the colors? That teal-blue gown with the gold background just knocks us out! This is a beautiful devotional piece that would look good in any home and help focus the faith of all who see it. The original, done by Enric Monserdà Vidal (1850 - 1926), is on a wood panel in a church in Spain.

Enric Monserdà Vidal was a painter, decorator, furniture maker, and an artistic director for church restoration projects. He was born in Calle de la Palla, Spain, and did most of his work in Barcelona. He mostly did religious work. He came from a close-knit, pious, and creative family. His sister was a writer, Dolors Monserdà i Vidal, who was famous in her day. His style is mixed medievalism , orientalism, and neogothic.

** IMPORTANT ** THE IMAGE IS SMALLER THAN THE PAPER! There is a white border of about 0.5" inch for 5x7", 1.3" for 8.5x11", or 1.6" for 11x14" pictures. All Approx! Fine art printers do this because the images are almost never the same rectangular ratio of the standard paper sizes. It also gives the prints a finished look, and lets them look good in a frame without a matt.

- Acid-free paper
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal clear bag.
