We like this card. We like the way the angel and the shepherds are painted, and we like the nice little Bible study lesson on it. The publisher of this 1926 card, the David C. Cook organization, is still around today, “equipping” Christians. Bible study is good for all Christians, and in that spirit, we offer this card to you. Peace on earth to men of good will. (Luke 2:14, see front of card.)
Our restoration of this holy card is one of our series of Christmas Holy cards. We've worked hard to provide a good variety of beautiful artwork, along with a rich variety of prayers, meditations, and scripture readings on the back. We've restored these beautiful old cards as a little way to help strengthen people's spiritual lives and make our Christmas celebrations more prayerful.

Lesson 12. Dec. 19, 1926. Vol. 48. No. 4. Part 12.
Christmas Lesson. The Savior’s Birth.
One night shepherds were watching their sheep in the fields near Bethlehem.
All at once an angel stood before them.
The glory of God shone around them.
The angel told them not to fear, for he had brought them good news.
He brought the news that Jesus the Savior, was born that day in Bethlehem.
As the angel stopped speaking, there were with him a great many angels.
They praised God, saying “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goo will toward men.”
As soon as the angels went away, the shepherds started to look for Jesus.
They found Jesus, as the angel had said, in a manger in Bethlehem.
