We are excited to offer our new Christmas holy cards! Let them help you celebrate a Holy Christmas! They are designed to gently guide children and adults to stay mindful of Christ during Christmas. Share them with family and friends, at school, or wherever you gather to celebrate the Christmas season. Children LOVE holy cards. Adults do too! They're a fun and simple way to plant the seeds or help strengthen the faithful!

These are all new cards, not available in our Christmas variety pack.

Cards are 2.75x4.25 inches. Printed on a nice 14-point card stock with a good matte finish.

Cards are also sold separately in packs of 10, 100, and 1000. Search our shop for Halloween. (If you want 10 of each of the 8 cards, you'll save about 10% getting them with this listing rather than separately.)

Available with Crystal-clear plastic sleeves that fit snugly on the cards for protection, but we don't insert the cards in the sleeves for you, we just offer the sleeves as a service.

Also, we have these cool new stands you can get to put your card in and stand them up as a decorative focal point. For a teachers desk, a prayer nook, a curio, a bookshelf. We're really happy to offer them.

The Gist of the 8 Cards.

(You can see the cards if you expand the first collage photo.)

1. A wonderful late Medieval/Early Renaissance picture with the Angels announcing the newborn king, with art by artist Jean Bourdichon from the Book of Hours he made for the Queen of France, Anne of Brittany. On the back there is a traditional Advent Prayer which ties in with the picture.

2. Jesus in the manger with the Ox and Ass nearby, par rum-pum-pum-pum. A Louis Turgis card from mid-19th Century Paris. On the back, a manger blessing by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

3. Then another piece of late medieval, early renaissance illumination, this one with a miniature nativity and the musical notes from a chant we still use today at some of the Christmas Masses world-wide. You can listen to the music online.

4. A fresco of a nativity from a French church made in 1929. On the back, part of the Gloria, which was first heard when the Angels announced the Good News to the shepherds, and which we still use at every Mass.

5. Most people don’t know that St. Francis of Assis started the first manger scenes, and he did the first one with real people. There was a beautiful miracle associated with the event, which I’ll let you explore. On the back, we have an excerpt from St. Francis’s office which involves the birth of Jesus. From a German artist.

6. A classic nativity scene, published by the O. Morel house in Paris, late 1800s. On the back is a really interesting prayer about the littleness of baby Jesus and our own spiritual childhood.

7. This nativity is another illumination by Jean Bourdichon for Queen Anne’s prayer book, a real beauty, and on the back we have a genuine medieval Christmas prayer translated into English.

8. Finally, a St. Nicholas card, the original Santa Claus. We have a brief prayer to him on the back, as well as a brief history. Picture by Heinrich Leflter (1863-1919), an Austrian Catholic artist and set-designer.

Thanks for your desire to do your bit to help the people around you stay mindful of our Lord in this celebration of his birthday 2000 years ago!
