New! Hail Holy Queen Holy Card – Hail Holy Queen Prayer in English – pack of 10/100/1000 – Restored Holy Card

This lyrical holy card originally came from a printer in Angers, France, in about 1890. We have not seen any other art of the same style, and we list it as an art print in our shop. The words at the bottom of the card mean, Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy.

On the back we've placed the Hail Holy Queen Prayer in English. Hail Holy Queen, or Savle Regina, is one of the most important Marian prayers in the Church. It is the most famous of the four Marian liturgical antiphons, which are ancient, hymn-like chants in the Catholic Church. The four are: Alma Redemptoris Mater, Ave Regina Caelorum, Regina Coeli, and Salve Regina.

These prayers are often sung at night (at the end of Compline, just at bedtime). Elsewhere in our shop, we've added a card with the Latin version of the prayer on the back.
