New! Holy Family at Home Holy Card – “Within the Gates" – pack of 10/100/1000 – Prayer for Marriages

Our newest wedding card takes its design from one of our most popular art prints, “Within the Gates,” also called “The Holy Family at Home.” It was painted in 1927 by Herbert Arnould Olivier (an uncle of the actor Laurence Olivier).

We see the Holy Family one late afternoon, Mary holding and chatting to the baby, with Joseph kneeling before them, fashioning a stick to hold up a lily. They are in the midst of lilies, which symbolize purity. And if you look closely, you'll see that the stick Joseph is using is actually a small cross. But that is a long time away, and at the moment things are tranquil and beautiful.
