St. Mechtilde (1241-1298) had visions of Jesus, who told her how to do a morning offering. We've put his words to her on the back of this card. We believe this revelation to her is the historical basis in the Catholic Church for morning offerings. Morning offerings are wonderful ways to start your day. Reach out to Jesus first thing when you awaken, thank him for the day, and dedicate your work to him. I don't think there is a finer way possible to start a day than that.
The picture is by Antonin Dvorak (no relation to the composer) from 1869. We offer it separately as a beautiful Catholic fine art print elsewhere in our shop. We love this image of a woman starting her day in the early morning, praying to God. We're blessed to have found St. Mechtilde's revelations from Jesus on morning offerings, and to be given the ability to combine them in this one card.
Peace be with you. Thank you for your interest.
