We have Sue's beautiful picture of Our Lady of Lourdes, along with a traditional prayer on the back to Our Lady of Lourdes for healing of body, mind, and spirit. Recently Lourdes had its 72nd certified medical miracle, the healing of an Italian woman named Antonietta Raco. This is not counting all the people who had a miracle while staying home and praying to her. So keep praying!

In 1858, the Virgin Mary appeared to a 14 year old poor French girl. She prayed with her and visited her in the same spot 18 times. By the time of the last appearance, huge crowds were gathering at the grotto to pray, bath in the miraculous spring water, and receive healing.

The little girl, Bernadette, remained humble and steadfast through many sufferings, at the hands of relatives, civil and church authorities, and disease.

The Virgin, now titled as Our Lady of Lourdes, told her that she couldn’t promise her happiness in this world but in the world to come. Lourdes is still the site of many healings, physical as well as spiritual.
