Two people have died for you. Jesus Christ died for your soul, and the American Soldier died for your freedom. This is an authentic reproduction, front and back, of a American holy card put out in 1942. If you read the prayer on the back, you can tell this is from a time of war. Over 400,000 American boys died in World War II to to secure the peace and freedom which you, and the world, have enjoyed up to today. We have reproduced this card to honor them.
Charles Bosseron Chambers (1880–1964) was an American painter, illustrator and teacher. He is sometimes called the Norman Rockwell of Catholic art.
The Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur are still valid, unless they are overridden someday by the Vatican. Real evil was afoot in the world in a wide scale then, as it is starting to lurk again. We belive in God, Country, and Family, and we hope you do too. This isn't corny or out-of-date, it is the right ordering of a person's heart within the Cosmic Chain of Being. In Latin, it's called ordo amoris.
