Our Lady of Guadalupe Art Print

Our Lady of Guadalupe Art Print

Regular price $ 17.95
The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared miraculously on the cloak of Juan Diego, a simple indigenous peasant, on the hill of Tepeyac near Mexico City on December 12, 1531. Today it is displayed in the Basilica of Guadalupe nearby, the most visited Catholic shrine in the world. Pope John Paul II declared her patroness of the Americas.

I painted my version in acrylics and colored pencil on paper. The original was approximately 7 x 11 inches, and is owned by one of my best friends, who commissioned it from me. It looks lovely in any of the 3 sizes, and especially nice as a giclee on canvas.
