Frances Cabrini was the youngest of 13 children, from a village near Milan, Italy. In 1880, when she was 30, she founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Although she wanted to do missionary work in China, Pope Leo XIII sent her to New York City instead.
Mother Frances Cabrini and her sisters organized catechism and education classes for the Italian immigrants. She established schools and orphanages despite tremendous odds.
Requests for her to open schools came from all over the world. She traveled to Europe, Central and South America and throughout the United States. She made 23 trans-Atlantic crossings and established 67 institutions: schools, hospitals and orphanages. She was a devout, deeply prayerful woman. She was canonized in 1946 and is the Patroness of Immigrants.

What an amazing woman! I tried to portray the loving kindness of Mother Cabrini in this colored pencil and acrylic painting on paper.
The original painting is also available here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/812612218/new-saint-frances-xavier-cabrini?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1
**IMPORTANT** Each of the sizes indicates Outside Dimensions. In the three options, there is a BORDER OF WHITE left around the image, approximately 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" all around. So, the image is SMALLER than the Paper.
Signed by artist.
Archival Quality: All our prints are made using premium acid-free fine art paper in card thickness, and high-quality Epson pigments (instead of dyes), rated by a third party to last 200+ years when not hung in direct sunlight. These prints are beautiful today and are time capsules of the faith for future generations.
The print is available in three sizes, each of which carry the image on a white sheet of paper, with a little more than 1 inch of WHITE SPACE around it.
Standard sizes. It's easy to find a ready-made frame at your local frame shop. If you're sending this as a gift and would like us to frame it for you, please order it framed.
-Acid-free paper
- Archival pigments, rated to last for generations.
- Cardboard backer
- Above story of the art
- Enclosed in a tight-fitting, crystal-clear bag.
~~~ IMPORTANT ~~~
There is about an inch-and-a-third of WHITE SPACE around the picture, so the image is smaller than the paper. This helps the image to have a little border of white around it instead of a mat. The colored image DOES NOT go all the way to the edge of the paper.
Thanks for your interest!
God bless,
Sue & John
