When good Saint Patrick came to Ireland as the bishop of a pagan land, he knew he was starting from scratch in teaching the faith. His words and actions were powerful indeed, and one of his simplest and profound images was the shamrock.
In attempting to help the people understand something of the mystery of the Blessed Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, he bent over and picked a little shamrock. This was a simple way to visualize the idea of how there can be three persons in one God.
Sue painted the original of this little print in acrylics, and a bit of colored pencil.
All our ornaments are made with lead free solder. The same image is on both sides. This ornament measures approximately 1 1/2" x 2".
