St Padre Pio with Cross Postcard 4x6 – pack of 3, 10, 100 #013

Padre Pio is one of the most remarkable of our modern saints.  A man of amazing holiness, he has many miracles associated with him.  Even Pope John Paul asked him to pray for a friend who had terminal cancer - and she recovered.

In this image, I have tried to let the joy and kindness of St Pio shine through. The purple stole he wears reminds us of the thousands of souls he freed from sin through the sacrament of confession/reconciliation. He usually spent 17 hours a day in the confessional, and had the gift of being able to read hearts. If someone forgot a big sin or held it back, he would ask them about it so they could confess it.

For fifty years this amazing Franciscan bore the wounds of Christ in his body, a testimony to the utter oneness of his heart with the Heart of Jesus. A few days before his death in 1967, the stigmata wounds completely disappeared!

The inscription on the back reads, "St Pio was full of joy and kindness. He freed thousands of souls from sin by confession, usually spending 17 hours a day in the confessional. He could read hearts. If someone forgot a big sin or held it back, he would remind them."

Set of 3, 10, or 100 postcards, measuring 4x6 inches each, to mail to friends, or even frame as gifts! Thick, glossy paper.
