This Eucharistic Angel, carrying the Host, was from the title page of a Roman Missal published in 1923. (The Roman Missal is the book priests use that has all the prayers and instructions for celebrating the Mass in the Roman Catholic Church.)

The artist was Max Schmalzl (1850-1930), a German Redemptorist lay brother who worked as a painter and illustrator. He lived a monastic lifestyle, devoting himself to the making Catholic art. He was the fulfillment of an ecclesiastical art movement called the Nazarene school, and he lived the ideal of a humble, pious, and hard-working painter-monk. Despite his monasticism, he was very famous during his lifetime. Even to this day, his woodcuts and illustrations are frequently used in Catholic printing, although no one knows they are his. His fame has left the earth, but much of the beauty he made is still with us today.

This cool sticker can help us think of angels, who quietly journey with us. It can also remind us that the Mass is our main connecting point to Heaven.

It can also be a good conversation opener for non-Catholics who see its beauty and ask you about it.

Stick on tumblers, laptops, skateboards, book covers, cars, bikes, etc.

Printed on vinyl. Waterproof. 3" Round
This is a high quality sticker. It will last a long time.
